The company Cortex labs was founded in Belgrade in 2007.
The company’s core business is the production and distribution of PRIMED natural honey-based products as well as the distribution of high-quality honey from the region and other bee products such as pollen, propolis, royal jelly, perga and wax.
Our mission is to create conditions for a return to nature and natural solutions to improve and maintain good health, especially with a view to preventing or treating pre-existing health problems.
The selection of medicinal herbs and other ingredients contained in our products is based on existing empirical data on their use in folk medicine, based on facts and evidence from official scientific studies.
In the production of PRIMED products, domestic raw materials of the highest quality as well as quality-tested imported raw materials are used.
PRIMED products are manufactured in accordance with valid world standards that regulate the production process of dietary supplements. The health standard is controlled by accredited laboratories in the Republic of Serbia.
The history of PRIMED began in the middle of the last century as a family beekeeping business:
Velimir Veljko Paunić called Čiko, landlord and farmer, was an eminent member of the Beekeepers’ Association in Serbia and lifelong president of the Mačva County Beekeepers’ Society.
Following an old beekeeper’s recipe of a combination of honey and calcium, Veljko helped his brother-in-law Djordje and later his grandson Stanko get rid of breathing problems caused by bronchitis and asthma.
This natural balm based on honey and calcium is now called PRIMED 2 and is one of the best-known and most sought-after PRIMED products.
Today, the PRIMED range includes 18 products and tinctures that have healing, nourishing and preventative effects for a variety of diseases.
